This Mezcal is produced according to strict artisanal tradition. The agave hearts are cooked in earthen pit ovens, then crushed with a horse-drawn tahona, and subsequently fermented in open wooden vats with wild, naturally occurring yeast. The double distillation preserves the unadulterated character of the rare agave. The typical deep blue Bozal ceramic bottle indicates its single-maguey origin and emphasizes the original, untamed identity of this spirit.
