The Platzer winery is located in the picturesque Styrian Volcanic Land, a region known for its exceptional wines and fascinating landscape. Nestled among rolling hills and surrounded by volcanic soils, the winery offers ideal conditions for growing high-quality grapes. All vineyards are located in the immediate vicinity of the winery and, together with partners, cover a total area of 35 hectares. The most important sites include Aunberg, Königsberg, Klöchberg, and Stradner Rosenberg. The vines are intensively cared for throughout the entire growing season to ensure the highest quality and a distinctive regional character. Special emphasis is placed on sustainable viticulture to conserve natural resources.

For over 40 years, the winery has operated a bottle washing plant and actively promotes bottle reuse to contribute to environmental protection.

The Blaue Zweigelt Klassik is a red wine made from 100% Zweigelt grapes. The vines from which these grapes originate grow on medium-heavy, lime-free cultivated soils consisting of weathered volcanic rock. After winemaking, this red wine matured for 5 months in barrels and can be stored until at least 2028.
