The Platzer Winery is located in the picturesque Styrian Volcanic Region, an area renowned for its exceptional wines and fascinating landscape. Nestled among rolling hills and surrounded by volcanic soils, the winery offers ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality grapes. All vineyards are situated in the immediate vicinity of the winery and, together with partners, encompass a total vineyard area of 35 hectares. Key sites include Aunberg, Königsberg, Klöchberg, and Stradner Rosenberg. The vines are meticulously cared for throughout the growing season to ensure the highest quality and an unmistakable regional character. Particular emphasis is placed on sustainable viticulture to conserve natural resources.

For over 40 years, the winery has operated a bottle washing plant and actively promotes bottle reuse to contribute to environmental protection.

The Weissburgunder Klassik Steiermark is made from Weissburgunder grapes sourced from vines growing in medium-heavy, lime-free soil derived from volcanic weathered rock. The wine matures in stainless steel tanks and has an aging potential until 2028.
