The Glenmorangie Distillery, founded in 1843 in the Scottish Highlands near Tain, is famous for its exquisite Single Malt Scotch Whiskies. The Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish is an innovation from the Glenmorangie Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery, marked as the distillery's first bottling matured in French Calvados casks. This edition is the fifth in the Barrel Select Release Series and has a total maturation period of 12 years. The whisky is characterized by aromas of jasmine blossom, baked apples, pears, and the typical fruity notes of Glenmorangie, complemented by a gentle depth.

For the Calvados Cask Finish, Dr. Lumsden selected a whisky that first matured for over 10 years in American white oak Bourbon casks before receiving a finishing in Calvados casks from Pays d’Auge, which had previously held Calvados for 20 years. After a two-year secondary maturation in these casks, the Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish was created.
