Rum and honey are a particularly cherished combination in the Canary Islands.

Sugarcane is grown for the smooth and sweet honey rum from the Aldea distillery on La Palma, and it's cultivated without the use of artificial fertilizers or pesticides.

After an initial six-month maturation period on the island, the rum was collected in 2022 by the sailing freighter Tres Hombres and transported in Calvados casks. Six months later, the ship reached Amsterdam, and the rum had time during the crossing to develop a distinctive finish that reflects the characteristic "Tres Hombres" style. The constant movement of the ship at sea intensified the interaction of the rum with the Calvados casks, leading to an enhancement of flavor and a memorable aftertaste.

The bottle labels are adorned with motifs of the Tres Hombres and their adventurous voyages. The bottles are sealed with natural corks and beeswax.

This wax is enriched with color pigments ground from natural materials in a traditional windmill in Zaandam, giving the bottles an authentic and environmentally friendly finish.
