The Planteray Cut & Dry Artisanal Infusion Coconut 40% Vol. 0.7 l is an exceptional Caribbean spirit, entirely produced in Barbados, combining two essential elements of the island's culture: rum and coconut. Production takes place at the West Indies Rum Distillery, where only molasses is used as a raw material. After a 3-4 day fermentation, the rum is distilled in both pot stills and column stills. The base of this infusion rum consists of a combination of aromatic pot still rum and elegant column still rum, which is later complemented by a natural coconut infusion.


Only ripe coconuts harvested in Barbados are used for production, which are hand-opened and naturally dried in the Caribbean sun. This traditional method concentrates the essential oils and intensifies the typical aroma profile of the coconut. The dried coconut pieces are then steeped in a blend of Barbados rums and slowly infused. Only after this is the fruit infusion blended with additional Barbados rum, creating a harmonious, multifaceted flavor profile. The long development time – local coconut farmers and the distillery experimented together for about four years to find the ideal recipe – is reflected in the elegance and precision of the final product. As coconut farming in Barbados is still developing, Planteray Cut & Dry is currently produced in limited quantities, which underscores its special character.
