The Rhum J.M distillery represents one of the few distilleries dedicated to the production of Rhum Agricole. Located in the landscape of Macouba on the island of Martinique, it is subject to the requirements of the "Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée," a protected designation of origin that ensures the quality and authenticity of the rum. A key feature of production at Rhum J.M is the use of freshly pressed sugarcane juice, grown on their own fields at the foot of Montagne Pelée.

The Rhum J.M Vieux Agricole Millésimé, a flagship product of the distillery, undergoes a careful maturation process of ten years in selected bourbon barrels. This long maturation period allows for a complex development of flavor profiles, which are further refined by the natural conditions of storage. It is particularly noteworthy that this rum is produced without additional colorants, added sugar, or chill filtration, making it a pure expression of traditional Rhum Agricole.
