With the Ardbeg Spectacular, the iconic Islay distillery presents an exciting and at the same time extraordinary new product that delights whisky fans worldwide. This limited edition was released exclusively for Ardbeg Day – the annual celebration for all Ardbeggians – and marks a true novelty in the distillery's history: For the first time, an Ardbeg has been matured in rare port wine casks. In combination with classic ex-bourbon casks, this creates a complex aroma profile that reveals both traditional Ardbeg characteristics and new depths of flavor.

The idea for this bottling came from Gillian Macdonald, Master Blender at Ardbeg. With "Spectacular," she wanted to create an aromatic fireworks display that combines the distillery's typical smoky and maritime notes with the fruity, spicy, and dark facets of port wine maturation. The composition of dark chocolate, candied fruits, mint, smoked pecans, and incense smoke unfolds in a sensory performance that lives up to its name.

With an alcohol content of 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural, the Ardbeg Spectacular is a true highlight for collectors and connoisseurs, once again demonstrating the distillery's innovative strength and creativity.
