Eden Mill is the first producer in Scotland to combine an artisanal brewery and distillery. Since 2012, craft beer has been brewed again in St Andrews, and since 2014, gin and whisky have been produced, after the Haig family last produced whisky in the region in 1860. Nearly 150 years prior to that, the then Seggie Distillery produced grain whisky there.

The symbiosis of brewery and distillery yields aromatic, characterful beers, which, in their unhopped state, form the basis for their whiskies. A considerable amount of flavour is introduced into the whisky through the malt varieties Pale, Chocolate, and Crystal Malt, resulting in unique products. At Eden Mill, much experimentation and questioning still takes place to continuously develop the product range and quality. Everything is handcrafted and grown in the fields of the region.
