Flor de Caña, a traditional family-owned rum since 1890, is produced sustainably. In 1875, the young adventurer Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa left his hometown Genoa, Italy, and made his way to Nicaragua. There, at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano, Nicaragua's highest and most active volcano, he discovered the perfect location for his distillery.

The fertile soil, mineral-rich water, and hot climate of the volcano gave the rum its unique, mild taste. Today, Flor de Caña focuses on sustainability and fair trade certified spirits, and is committed to a greener future.

Flor de Caña Volcanic Bourbon Cask is a premium rum that is produced climate-neutrally and fair trade. It is aged in ex-bourbon casks made of American white oak at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano, which gives the rum its unique taste. Flor de Caña completely refrains from adding sweeteners to preserve the natural purity and quality of the rum.
