Flor de Caña, a family-owned rum steeped in tradition since 1890, is sustainably produced. In 1875, young adventurer Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa left his hometown of Genoa, Italy, and set off for Nicaragua. There, at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano, Nicaragua's highest and most active volcano, he discovered the perfect location for his distillery.

The fertile soil, mineral-rich water, and hot climate of the volcano gave the rum its unique, mild flavor. Today, Flor de Caña focuses on sustainability and fair-trade certified spirits, and is committed to a greener future.

This exceptional rum is distilled entirely with renewable energy and aged naturally. For 19 years, it matures in small barrels made of American ex-bourbon oak, which gives it its distinctive character in its unique environment.
