The Bunnahabhain Distillery, located on the picturesque coast of the Isle of Islay, was founded in 1881 and is known for its unique, unpeated whiskies. The distillery originally relied on sea trade and experienced a turning point in 1960 with the construction of a new road, which improved logistics. After a brief closure in the 1930s and the last ship arrival in 1993, the road became the main supply route. In 2006, after being acquired by Burn Stewart Distillers, the brand's profile received a modern redesign. The water for the whiskies comes from calcareous springs and is directed to the distillery without peat contact, which gives the whiskies their mild, characteristic taste.

Bunnahabhain 14 Years Old Ruby Port Cask Matured Limited Release 2024 is a remarkable bottling that remains true to the distillery's characteristic style while offering a fascinating variation. This limited edition was created to celebrate the renowned Fèis Ìle, the Islay Festival of Music and Malt.

After 11 years of maturation in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky received a three-year finish in Ruby Port hogsheads. Originally filled into ex-bourbon casks on May 26, 2009, and re-racked on November 17, 2020, it develops elegant aromas of ripe cherries and chocolate.
