The Roner family business, located on the South Tyrolean Wine Road in Tramin, was founded in 1946 by Gottfried Roner, who began with initial distillation experiments. Today, the Roner name stands for high-quality distillates, whose range includes not only grappas and fruit distillates but also liqueurs, which is underscored by numerous awards.

For the production of Caldiff Apple Brandy, Roner uses the aromatic and delicious Gravensteiner apple, which is carefully pressed, fermented, and gently distilled in copper pot stills. The special taste results from the unique production process, in which the distillate matures for at least three years in barrique barrels using the Solera method, originally used for ripening sherry or brandy.

Since the barrels are stored one above the other, partially emptied, and then refilled from each other, a blend of different ages is created. This results in a multifaceted apple brandy that tastes of full, ripe, and almost autumnal apples.
