Brackla was the first Scottish distillery to be granted royal status, an honor bestowed upon it by King William IV in 1833. In 2015, three new Royal Brackla single malts were launched, considered part of John Dewar & Sons' last great malts. One of these Royal Brackla whiskies matures for 21 years in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, giving it a special depth and complexity.
Through the long maturation in these sherry casks, the whisky develops rich, fruity aromas and a velvety texture, making it an outstanding example of Scottish distilling artistry. This unique combination of tradition and quality delights whisky lovers worldwide and sets Royal Brackla apart from other whiskies.
