The Paul Kerschbaum winery is one of the leading wineries in Austria. It is located in Blaufränkischland Horitschon, in Burgenland. The term "Blaufränkischland" refers to a wine-growing region in Central Burgenland where the Blaufränkisch grape variety is primarily cultivated. Paul Kerschbaum's goal is to produce powerful, long-lasting wines with a touch of oak. In 2011, Paul Kerschbaum handed over the production of the wines to his son Michael.

Paul Kerschbaum Cuvée consists of a balanced blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. After 28 days of maceration, the wine matures for 24 months in new oak barrels to refine its aromas and structure. This is followed by another 12 months of bottle aging at the winery. After this careful maturation, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.
