Adrian Schleihauf is the third-generation owner of the Schleihauf fruit distillery, which has specialized in the handcrafted production of high-quality spirits for over 40 years. The distillery was founded in 1982 by his grandfather, Herbert Schleihauf, an experienced cooper and cellar master who laid the foundation for the production of traditional fruit brandies.

Inspired by his tomcat Rüdiger, the "Böser Kater" (Bad Tom Cat) brand was created, combining a love for cats with a passion for first-class spirits. The Böser Kater Colour Changing Vodka offers an extraordinary experience both in taste and appearance, as, true to its name, it can change color. This color change occurs as soon as tonic water or other acidic beverages are added. Although the exact process by which this color play is possible remains a secret, it is known that a particularly elaborate production method is used.
