Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating grapevines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continuously evolved, setting crucial milestones in wine and grappa production. After generations of farming their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionized grappa production by launching the first single-varietal grappa. In 1977, he founded Distilleria Bottega, which is now located in a lovingly restored 17th-century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant’Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of its own vineyards.

The area between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene is considered the heart of the Prosecco region, but the term "Rive" refers to an even more precisely selected terroir of exceptional quality. "Rive" designates vineyards on often steep slopes, which, due to their optimal exposure, offer ideal conditions for grape ripening.

These special sites yield grapes of outstanding quality and distinctive typicity.

Since the slopes are inaccessible to mechanical cultivation, all work is done by hand, further emphasizing the exclusivity of the harvest.
