Description
Description
Since its establishment in 1793, the picturesque location and proximity to the harbour in the west of the Scottish Highlands have made Oban Distillery a magnet for new settlers. Oban, meaning "little bay" in Gaelic, has, despite initial challenges, developed into one of the most respected and efficient distilleries. With only two stills, Oban produces up to 700,000 litres of alcohol annually, making it one of the smallest distilleries in the world, a testament to its excellence and tradition in whisky making.
Since 2001, a limited collection of exquisitely crafted Scotch Whisky original bottlings in their natural cask strength has been released every year – Diageo's SPECIAL RELEASES.
With the latest Special Releases "Spirited Xchange," the newest bottlings of this special series are celebrated with great joy, inspired by cultural influences from various countries and bringing leading brands to life through unique partnerships with different cultures.
Oban 10 Years Old Coastal Orchard Single Malt was first matured in refill American oak casks before being finished in heavily charred American oak casks that previously held Oloroso sherry. This limited edition is an excellent collector's item and an exceptional gift for lovers of exclusive whiskies.
