As an independent bottler, Signatory has the opportunity to acquire selected casks from across Scotland, which would normally be used in blends, and market them as single malts under its own label. This process involves the targeted selection of specific distillations or batches from the distilleries, meticulous tasting of each individual cask, and the exclusive bottling of the highest quality casks from each batch.

The 10-year-old Whitlaw Whisky from the Signatory Vintage series is an outstanding single malt, chosen by Signatory from special single casks – including rare bottlings from closed distilleries. Founded by Andrew Symington in the late 1980s, the company has always maintained close ties with renowned distilleries and now boasts over 10,000 carefully selected casks in its warehouses.

This particular island whisky matures in First Fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Casks as well as Second Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks, giving it a complex and nuanced aroma. Bottled at a slightly higher strength of 46%, it contains no added coloring. The Whitlaw is characterized by its mild, smooth taste, making it an excellent choice for both experienced connoisseurs and newcomers alike.
