Founded in 2010 by brothers Steve and Paul Beam, Limestone Branch Distillery is a relatively young producer of American Whiskey in the "Bourbon State" of Kentucky. Despite its recent history, the distillery places great emphasis on its rich family history in whiskey distilling, spanning seven generations. Their great-great-grandfather, Washington Dant, was an early Bourbon pioneer, and their great-grandfather Minor Case Beam belongs to the family of the famous Jim Beams.

In the 1960s, the Yellowstone whiskey brand was one of the leading brands in the USA until it ended up with Luxco after several changes of ownership. Luxco founded the Limestone Branch Distillery specifically for the production of the Yellowstone brand.

This particular single barrel bourbon comes from the annual Yellowstone Hand Picked Collection and was carefully selected from barrel #9099. This special barrel contains a harmonious blend of 4- to 6-year-old whiskeys, which develop remarkable depth and complexity through their maturation. The whiskeys matured exclusively in new, heavily charred American oak barrels, which gives the bourbon its characteristic, robust note and rich aromas of vanilla and caramel.
