The Salzl Syrah Reserve 2020 represents a powerful yet exceptionally harmonious Austrian quality red wine from Burgenland, interpreting the international Syrah grape variety in a profound and elegant style. The single-varietal Syrah is traditionally vinified, with mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 30 °C, a 14-day maceration period, followed by malolactic fermentation, which deliberately builds depth, balance, and structure. Aging takes place for 12 months in small oak barrels made of 100% new wood, which gives the dry red wine complexity, density, and precisely integrated roasted aromas. With an alcohol content of 14%, the Salzl Syrah Reserve 2020 presents itself as powerful, yet balanced and smooth. The defined drinking maturity from 2024 to 2032 underlines the high aging potential of this red wine from Austria.
