Domäne Wachau, located in Austria's most renowned wine region, the Wachau, is one of the country's leading white wine producers. Steep terraced vineyards, a cool marginal climate, and sparse primary rock soils characterize the wines of the Wachau.

A mild and dry winter was followed by a cool spring with sufficient moisture, which benefited the vines during the hot summer days. Despite some hailstorms, the year was generally positive until autumn.

The grapes for this Grüner Veltliner Steinfeder Gneis + Löss come from various vineyards along the Danube throughout the Wachau. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand to preserve a characteristic Wachau wine style with rich fruit. The vineyards are cultivated sustainably and increasingly organically, without the use of insecticides and herbicides. After careful selection and pressing of the grapes in pneumatic tank presses, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.
