The Edradour Distillery, whose history is as multifaceted as its product range, was once even owned by the New York Mafia. Today, it is managed by Andrew Symington, the founder of Signatory Vintage. As an independent Highland distillery, it relies on traditional production methods and uses equipment from the 19th century to produce handcrafted premium single malts. Its diverse portfolio includes whiskies with exceptional cask finishes as well as bottlings from malt with a smoke content of at least 50 ppm.

The new batch of Ballechin 18 Years Old has been enriched by combining Bourbon and Sherry casks, thus adding an extra layer of complexity to the maturation. The long storage period allows for a successful fusion of intense peat smoke and spicy wood notes, which characterizes the Highland Single Malt. These casks give the whisky a balanced structure that harmonizes the smoky, woody, and fruity elements without overemphasizing individual nuances.
