This extraordinary rum presents itself as full-bodied and complex and stands out significantly from the lighter Venezuelan representatives, such as Cacique or Ocumare, which rather aim to impress with their accessibility, due to its unique character.

The Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva is distilled in traditional copper pot stills from carefully selected molasses and then matured for at least 12 years in selected ex-bourbon barrels. During this long aging period, it develops an impressive depth and richness, supported by an intensely balanced body.

With this bottling, the producer remains true to the classic Venezuelan style, known for its heavy and warm aromas – a style that has increasingly been displaced in recent years by lighter, more appealing rums.
