The Baron de Ley Rioja Reserva 2021, 14% ABV, is an elegant, finely structured red wine from the Rioja Alta that embodies the timeless style of Spanish Reserva wines. It is made from 100 per cent Tempranillo – the grape variety that, like no other, defines the identity of the Rioja region. The Baron de Ley estate combines traditional winemaking artistry with modern precision and has long since secured its place amongst Spain’s leading bodegas with its characterful, age-worthy wines.

The grapes come from the estate’s own vineyards on limestone and clay-rich soils, whose structure and minerality provide the foundation for depth and balance. The continental climate, with hot days and cool nights, ensures the grapes ripen perfectly whilst preserving their freshness and elegance. Following selective hand-harvesting, the wine is fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks and then aged for 20 months in American oak before maturing for a further 24 months in the bottle. This extended ageing process gives the Baron de Ley Reserva its velvety texture, harmonious structure and impressive aromatic complexity.
