Description
Heinrich Winery is located in Gols, Burgenland, and is managed by Gernot and Heike Heinrich. A great wine only comes into being when the vines feel good. The family's vineyards are located in Purbach, Breitenbrunn, Winden, Jois, Neusiedl am See, Weiden, Gold, Mönchhof, and Podersdorf. Thanks to the numerous hours of sunshine around Lake Neusiedl, the grapes can fully develop and impart this intensity of flavor.
Heinrich Pannobile is the result of masterful craftsmanship, combining the essence of Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch, which thrive on barren, sandy, gravelly, and loamy soils. The grapes are harvested by hand with the utmost care from mid to late September to ensure their optimal ripeness. After the harvest, spontaneous fermentation takes place, during which the wine remains on the skins in wooden fermenters for two to three weeks. Gentle pressing with a basket press preserves the fine, characteristic aromas and ensures an unadulterated expression. The wine then matures for 31 months in used 500-liter oak barrels and amphorae, allowing it to develop its profound structure and complex aromatics. After maturation, the Pannobile is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.
The vinification follows the principles of biodynamic agriculture and embodies the eternal cycle of nature. From the gentle hand-picking of the grapes to careful bottling, every step reflects respect for nature, dedication to craftsmanship, and the pursuit of perfection.
