Leo Hillinger is a visionary entrepreneur and winemaker who has transformed his passion for viticulture into international acclaim. His winery, which now proudly encompasses 100 hectares of vineyards, is renowned not only in Austria but worldwide for its excellent wines. After apprenticeships in Europe and California, Hillinger purchased 12 hectares of vineyards, laying the foundation for his successful winery in Jois, which opened in 2004. The company expanded with several Wineshop & Bars throughout Austria and a long-standing business relationship with Constantia Glen winery in South Africa. In 2012, Hillinger was honored by Ernst & Young as "Entrepreneur of The Year," highlighting his outstanding role in the wine industry.

Hillinger Pinot Noir Terroir is a single-varietal Pinot Noir that impresses with its complex and elegant aromas. The grapes for this wine are grown according to organic guidelines. The vinification includes a mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks, where the grapes remain on the mash for 5 to 6 weeks before the wine is aged in large 3,000-liter wooden barrels. After maturation, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.
