Ron Piet Rum is produced in San Miguelito, Panama, following ancient traditions, reflecting the art of classic rum production. According to legend, Ron Piet was once the parrot of a notorious pirate whose ship was sunk in battle.

While everyone else perished, the brave bird survived by clinging to a barrel marked "Ron 10 Años Panama." This barrel drifted on the sea for a long time until it finally washed ashore on a Hamburg beach, with the parrot still on board. A pub owner found the barrel and the parrot, took care of the animal, and named him "Ron Piet" in reference to the barrel's inscription.

For the production of the rum, the finest cane sugar is mixed with yeast and high-quality water. The aging process takes place over a period of 10 years in former Bourbon barrels, giving the rum its characteristic depth and complexity. Finally, the rum is hand-bottled in Hamburg, emphasizing the connection between its Panamanian origin and the North German port city.
