The company founder Don Andrés Brugal Montaner left his homeland Spain to seek his fortune in the Caribbean. After learning the art of rum production in Cuba, he moved to the Dominican Republic, specifically to Puerto Plata, around 1855. The rums of the Brugal company still mature in this city today. After a few years, he developed his own manufacturing process there, which ensures consistent quality of the rums. This process remains a well-guarded secret to this day, now passed down from generation to generation.

Brugal Triple Reserva is a masterfully aged premium rum from the Dominican Republic, whose name refers to its extraordinary triple aging process. First, the rum matures in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon. Then, the second aging takes place in Spanish oak barrels, which add fine nuances of red fruits and honey to the rum. It receives its final touch in French oak barrels, which introduce spicy notes and harmoniously combine all the aromas.

The result is a perfectly balanced rum with a velvety texture and complex aroma.
