Schlumberger is Austria's oldest sparkling wine house, and has stood for quality and craftsmanship since 1842. Production follows the Méthode Traditionnelle, a process originally from Champagne that allows for a second fermentation in the bottle. This method ensures a particularly fine perlage and a complex interplay of aromas. The long aging on the lees gives the sparkling wine a balanced structure and a pleasant creaminess.

The basis of this sparkling wine is the Pinot Noir grape variety, which gives it its characteristic elegance and fruitiness. The grapes grow on chalk, marl, and loess soils, which gives the wine a fine minerality. After the first fermentation in stainless steel tanks, it undergoes at least 30 months of aging on the lees in the bottle, leading to a harmonious development of aromas.
