Description
The 12-year-old Dictador Icon Reserve is distilled from the fermentation of virgin "sugar cane honey," which, unlike molasses, is an essence of fresh sugarcane juice. Distillation takes place partly in copper alembics and partly in steel tanks, using the column distillation method. This results in a medium-bodied rum that is pleasantly aromatic. Maturation occurs in American oak barrels. To ensure all the secrets remain in the liquid aroma, the bottles are then filled under the strictest quality control. Unlike many other "mainstream rums" today, Dictador rum is not sweetened. Nevertheless, it exhibits a slight natural sweetness, which makes it particularly harmonious.
