For more than 600 years, the Antinori family has been involved in wine production, beginning with Giovanni di Piero Antinori's entry into the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385. This tradition, spanning 26 generations, has always been managed directly by the family, characterized by innovative decisions while maintaining respect for tradition and origin.

The Villa Rosso, first created by Niccolò Antinori in 1928 and later renamed Villa Antinori by Piero Antinori, is a significant red wine in the Antinori tradition. This wine combines grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Merlot, and Syrah. Maturation takes place for 12 months in French, Hungarian, and American oak barriques, followed by an eight-month aging period after bottling. The wine thrives on sandy and calcareous soil and is sealed with a natural cork.
