Leo Hillinger is a visionary entrepreneur and winemaker who has transformed his passion for viticulture into international recognition. His winery, which now proudly encompasses 100 hectares of vineyards, is renowned not only in Austria but worldwide for its excellent wines. These wines find their way to over 20 countries around the globe, underscoring the global presence and popularity of the Hillinger brand. After apprenticeships in Europe and California, Hillinger purchased 12 hectares of vineyards, laying the foundation for his successful winery in Jois, which opened in 2004. The company expanded with several Wine Shops & Bars throughout Austria and a long-standing business relationship with the Constantia Glen winery in South Africa. In 2012, Hillinger was honored by Ernst & Young as "Entrepreneur of The Year," highlighting his outstanding role in the wine industry.

Hillinger Small Hill Red is a carefully composed cuvée of 50% Merlot, 25% Pinot Noir, and 25% St. Laurent grapes. This wine is aged in stainless steel tanks, which emphasizes its fruitiness and purity. After maturation, the wine is bottled and has a storage potential of up to 3 years. This structure and balanced composition make it a versatile companion to various dishes.
