The Winzerhof Kiss RED KISS 2023 is a charming, fruit-driven red wine cuvée that impresses with elegance, drinking pleasure, and Burgenland character. It comes from the family-run Winzerhof Kiss, located in Jois on the northeastern shore of Lake Neusiedl, in the heart of northern Burgenland. The winery is known for its terroir-focused wines, vinified with great care and sustainability. The vineyards Neuberg, Mittersatz, and Übermassl form the foundation of this red wine – sites characterized by ideal sun exposure and distinctive soils.

The grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and Cabernet Sauvignon unite here to form an accessible yet complex cuvée. The vines grow on Chernozem soils of loamy clay and on brown earth with a sandy loam content, which gives the cuvée density, fruit, and a harmonious structure. After hand harvesting, a classic mash fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 30 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation in wooden barrels. Further aging for 6 months in used wooden barrels gives the wine a fine maturity without dominant oak notes. The wine is bottled with a screw cap, emphasizing its freshness. It is ready to drink until at least 2027 with optimal storage.
