The Casa Lupo Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva DOCG 2018 16% Vol. 0.75l is a powerful, complex red wine from Veneto that perfectly reflects the high art of Amarone production. As a Riserva, this Amarone comes from a particularly good vintage and matured significantly longer than a classic Amarone, which gives it additional depth, elegance, and longevity. Only hand-picked grapes of the traditional varieties Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara are used for this premium wine. After harvesting, the grapes are gently dried for several months (Appassimento method), which causes them to lose liquid and concentrate their aromas. After fermentation, a long maturation period in oak barrels follows, during which the wine develops its velvety texture, complex aromatics, and remarkable structure. The alcohol content of 16% Vol. is typical for Amarone and an expression of its density and power.
