The whisky comes from a single cask, a Plain Butt, which stands for a comparatively restrained wood influence and clearly focuses on the distillery character. This single cask whisky was bottled without chill filtration and without added coloring, thus preserving its structure, depth, and natural cask maturity. The Family Casks series goes back to the foresight of George S. Grant and utilizes the distillery's exceptional cask inventory, spanning several decades. This line is now managed by John and George Grant, the fifth and sixth generation of the family, making each bottling not only a Cask Strength Scotch Whisky but also a documented piece of distillery history.
