The Kerschbaum Opera 2021 is a red wine cuvée of strong character from Mittelburgenland, which impresses with its depth, structure, and impressive elegance. The traditional family winery Kerschbaum has been one of the top addresses for high-quality red wines in Austria for years – with the Opera, they present a cuvée that masterfully combines expression and harmony.

The composition consists of 60% Blaufränkisch and 40% Merlot – a combination in which the Blaufränkisch sets the tone with its spice, structure, and freshness, while the Merlot adds dark fruit, fullness, and soft contours to the wine. The carefully hand-picked grapes were gently fermented spontaneously on the mash for 21 days, which gives the wine density and depth. It then matured for 18 months in new 500-liter oak barrels, further enhancing its complexity and aging potential.
