The Masi Costasera Amarone Classico 2020 is an iconic representative of the traditional Valpolicella region and is one of Italy's most influential Amarone wines. As the flagship of the renowned Masi Agricola winery, this Amarone combines origin, craftsmanship, and elegance at the highest level. The term "Costasera" refers to the west-facing slopes of the classic Valpolicella zone, where the vines benefit from particularly abundant evening sun. This extends the ripening period and ensures exceptionally balanced and profound grapes.

The cuvée of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara is vinified using the classic Appassimento method: after harvesting, the carefully selected grapes are dried on straw mats for several months. During this process, they lose water, gaining sugar and aromatic intensity. Fermentation is followed by long aging in Slavonian and French oak barrels, which further imparts structure, complexity, and fine spice to the wine. The 2020 vintage is particularly powerful and harmonious with an alcohol content of 15% Vol. – a true Amarone with depth and great aging potential.
