With the Ardbeg 15 Years Old The Beithir’s Tale, the Islay distillery continues its legendary Anthology Collection – a limited series of single malts inspired by Islay’s mythical creatures. Each bottling represents a unique cask selection and a particularly characterful maturation. After "The Unicorn’s Tale" and "The Harpy’s Tale," "The Beithir’s Tale" tells the next story from Ardbeg’s world of legends – named after the legendary Beithir, a gigantic, serpentine sea monster deeply rooted in the mists of Islay.

This 15-year-old Ardbeg was matured in a combination of American white oak and secretly held rare casks – a cask selection that not only provides depth but also contributes to the mystique of this limited bottling. Without coloring, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 46% Vol., this whisky reflects the essence of the Beithir: powerful, complex, and untamed.

According to legend, the beast devoured three noble casks from Ardbeg’s warehouse before being tamed by the music of Jackie, the chairperson of the Ardbeg Committee. As a tribute to this encounter, the casks returned on the waves – matured, transformed, full of depth. The edition is thus not only a homage to Islay's world of legends but also an aromatic testament to Ardbeg’s creative cask artistry.
