With a phenol content of 101.4 ppm, this edition is one of the "milder" Octomore expressions, yet remains extremely intense compared to other Islay malts.


The Octomore 16.1 was distilled from Concerto barley grown in the Scottish Highlands. After distillation, it matured for five years exclusively in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks, which gives it a clear, precise structure and a powerful interplay of aromas. It is bottled in natural color, non-chill filtered, and at a robust cask strength of 59.3% Vol., which further emphasizes its unadulterated character.
