The Planteray Rum BLACK CASK Barbados & Trinidad 40% Vol. 0.7 L is a masterfully composed blend that combines Caribbean rum tradition with French barrel artistry. It originates from two renowned distilleries: Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados and Trinidad Distillers Ltd. in Trinidad. High-quality molasses serves as the raw material, which is distilled after a three to four-day fermentation using a combination of pot still and column still methods. With a dosage of 19 g/L, the rum achieves its fine balance without losing authenticity.


The initial aging takes place for several years in the islands of origin, Barbados and Trinidad, where the rum is stored in 200-liter American white oak barrels. Afterwards, it is shipped to Maison Ferrand in France. There, it receives a special finish in small, intensely toasted Ferrand barrels, which lend it additional depth and a delicate smoky note. This interplay of tropical aging and European finishing makes the Planteray Black Cask a characterful rum, distinguished by its complexity and elegance.
