The Planteray Xaymaca Special Dry Jamaican Rum is an authentic Jamaican Pot Still Rum that revives the heritage and distinctive character of classic Jamaican "Rum Funk." With an alcohol content of 43% ABV, this exceptional rum represents a return to the intense, powerful flavors that made Jamaican rums of the 19th century world-famous.


The Planteray Xaymaca is made from 100% pot still rums – a traditional distillation method that ensures particularly aromatic, complex distillates. The blend comes from two of Jamaica's most renowned distilleries: Long Pond Distillery and Clarendon Distillery Ltd. The base is the finest molasses, which is fermented for one to three weeks depending on the distillery, to create maximum flavor and depth. It is distilled in classic copper pot stills (John Dore & Vendome Pot Stills).


The rum first matures under tropical conditions in bourbon casks in Jamaica before being brought to France for refinement, where it receives its elegant, dry finish in Ferrand oak casks – a process that bears the signature of Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel.
