This Riserva is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello), carefully selected from Caparzo's best vineyards on limestone and clay-rich soils, which impart minerality, depth, and structure to the wine. After selective hand-harvesting, vinification traditionally takes place in stainless steel tanks before the wine matures for over 36 months in large French oak barrels. Subsequently, it ages for a few more months in the bottle to develop its full aromatic spectrum and velvety structure.
