Produced in the highlands of Guatemala at approximately 2,300 meters above sea level, this Solera rum matures under ideal climatic conditions that allow for a particularly slow and even development. Instead of classic molasses rum, the base used is so-called "Virgin Sugar Cane Honey", a concentrated sugarcane juice that gives the Guatemalan rum its characteristic depth.

Aging takes place using the traditional Sistema Solera, where different age stages are blended. The Zacapa 23 Solera Gran Reserva, as it is often called, is aged in a combination of former Bourbon, Sherry, and Pedro Ximénez casks. This multi-stage aging process ensures complexity, structure, and harmony. Bottled at 40%, this Solera-aged rum presents itself as a multi-layered spirit with elegant balance.
