The Gérard Bertrand Corbières An806 AOP 2022 is an expressive, Mediterranean red wine from the Languedoc, embodying the quintessence of Southern French wine tradition in a modern form. This blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre comes from meticulously cultivated vineyards around the Corbières appellation, where barren limestone and slate soils, abundant sunshine, and the influence of the Mediterranean Sea lend remarkable ripeness and depth to the grapes. All grapes are hand-picked to ensure the highest quality.


Vinification is carried out with great precision: while the Syrah undergoes carbonic maceration for 10 to 18 days, the Grenache and Mourvèdre experience traditional mash fermentation with complete destemming. After malolactic fermentation, the individual grape varieties are blended into a harmonious cuvée. The wine then matures for about 8 months in 225-liter Bordeaux oak barrels before being lightly fined and bottled. Afterwards, it rests in the bottle for several months to further refine its structure, depth, and elegance.
