The Kōloa Kaua‘i Spice is a refined rum-based spirit drink from the tropical paradise of Kaua‘i, Hawaii. When the Polynesians left their home in the South Pacific and settled in places like Hawaii, they brought with them sugarcane and their knowledge of its cultivation. Commercial sugar production began in the town of Kōloa as early as the 1830s—and distillation of molasses spirits followed soon after. This tradition is continued today by the Kōloa Rum Company, which has been producing premium rum-based spirits since 2009.


The Kōloa Kaua‘i Spice is carefully distilled in a copper pot still using a batch process. Only Hawaiian sugarcane is used, complemented by pure rainwater from the island's mountains. The result is an aromatically complex spiced spirit drink that embodies the sun, spice, and lifestyle of Hawaii.
