The maturation took place in two phases: First, the rum spent four years under tropical climate in Cambodia in a new American oak barrel, before resting for another three years in Europe for refinement. This two-part maturation process – tropical and continental – developed an impressive balance between intense barrel spice, exotic fruit, and elegant structure. This rum was bottled in 2025 in natural color and at cask strength with 53.9% Vol., which underlines its unadulterated, pure quality. With an ester content of 114.6 g/hlap, it presents an expressive, fruity-spicy profile that immediately appeals to connoisseurs of complex pot still rums.
