The Frescobaldi Nipozzano Chianti Rúfina Riserva GOLD EDITION DOCG 2020 in the 3x0.75-liter gift box comes from the traditional Castello Nipozzano, the historical heart of the winery, located about 35 kilometers northeast of Florence. The wine is produced in the renowned Chianti Rúfina area, one of the oldest and most prestigious subzones of Chianti, known for its elegant style and cooler microclimate. The cuvée is predominantly based on Sangiovese, complemented by Malvasia Nera, Colorino, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, which together shape the complex structure and multifaceted character of this Riserva. After crushing and destemming, a maceration lasting about 25 days with regular pump-overs takes place, before malolactic fermentation directly follows alcoholic fermentation. The subsequent 25-month aging period, partly in wooden barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks, gives the wine its depth, elegance, and balance.
