The Prunotto Barbaresco DOCG 2022 is a style-defining Nebbiolo from Piedmont, representing the classic elegance of the Barbaresco region. Prunotto is known for precisely vinified red wines that prioritize origin, structure, and aging potential without sacrificing accessibility. The 2022 vintage showcases a clear, straightforward character, combining typical Nebbiolo architecture with fine balance, making the wine suitable for both early enjoyment and cellaring. With a recommended maturity until 2031, this Barbaresco DOCG offers ample room to further develop complexity and depth, while already displaying a very harmonious overall composition.


During vinification, the grapes were destemmed and pressed, followed by a maceration of around ten days at up to 28 °C, which carefully extracted extract, tannin, and varietal typicity. Aging for 12 months in large and small oak barrels, as well as in once-used barriques, combines traditional structure with subtle oak influence, before an additional 14 months of bottle aging further refines the wine. Bottled with natural cork, a characterful, long-lasting red wine from Italy emerges, which, as Barbaresco 2022, impresses with its clear origin, clean production details, and high standards.
