The distillery, founded in 1779 and thus one of Scotland's oldest, stands for finely balanced Islay whisky with subtle smokiness and a complex structure.


This Islay Single Malt initially matured for many years in ex-Bourbon casks made of American oak before receiving an expressive finish in Pinot Noir barriques. This special secondary maturation gives the whisky additional depth, finely integrated fruit notes, and an elegant, slightly vinous dimension. Bottled at 43% ABV, this release presents itself as harmonious, multi-layered, and full of character.
